The WIOMSA Scientific Symposium photo competition is here again! The theme of this year’s photo competition is “People, Coasts and Oceans: Opportunities for a changing future”
They say a picture is worth a thousand words- share your story through the lens of your camera! Entries can be on any topic of your choice related to coastal people, ecosystems, landscapes, seascapes, science, research and its impact on coastal communities, climate change or any other scene from marine and coastal environment in the region, both above and under the ocean surface!
The judging panel will select twenty best photos based on content, adherence to the theme, originality, creativity, artistic merit and technical excellence of the photos. The selected photos will form a photo exhibition to be held at the symposium during the week and all symposium participants will be able to vote for their photo of choice. The winners will be announced during the symposium and the winning entries will also be posted on the WIOMSA website.
